Subdivision Plat Records

FILING PLAT THAT IS WITHIN CITY LIMITS:

  1. Each plat for Official Public Records, and the Appraisal District, must contain original signatures of Landowner or Developer, City official(s) signing for the City and Surveyor. (Landowner/Developer must be notarized.)
  2. All Plats or Replats must have attached an original Tax Certificate from each taxing unit with jurisdiction of real property indicating that no delinquent ad valorem taxes are owed on the real property. Sec. 12.002.  SUBDIVISION PLAT;  PENALTY. (e)  A person may not file for record or have recorded in the county clerk's office a plat, replat, or amended plat or replat of a subdivision of real property unless the plat, replat, or amended plat or replat has attached to it an original tax certificate from each taxing unit with jurisdiction of the real property indicating that no delinquent ad valorem taxes are owed on the real property.  If the plat, replat, or amended plat or replat is filed after September 1 of a year, the plat, replat, or amended plat or replat must also have attached to it a tax receipt issued by the collector for each taxing unit with jurisdiction of the property indicating that the taxes imposed by the taxing unit for the current year have been paid or, if the taxes for the current year have not been calculated, a statement from the collector for the taxing unit indicating that the taxes to be imposed by that taxing unit for the current year have not been calculated.  If the tax certificate for a taxing unit does not cover the preceding year, the plat, replat, or amended plat or replat must also have attached to it a tax receipt issued by the collector for the taxing unit indicating that the taxes imposed by the taxing unit for the preceding year have been paid. (Must state no taxes due or Taxes have not been calculated)
  3. Size and Quantity of Plats Needed: (EACH PLAT LISTED BELOW, MUST CONTAIN ORIGINAL SIGNATURES)

(1) 8 1/2 X 14 (Black Line) for Official Public Records

(1) Mylar Plat for Plat Records REMAINS ON FILE (no smaller than 18x24, no larger than 24x36)

(1) Mylar, Blue Line or Black Line Plat for Appraisal District (no smaller than 18x24, no larger than 24x36)

*Any extra plats to be returned signed and file stamped need to be provided at the time of filing and will be returned with a receipt after recording of the plat.

FILING FEE:  (Effective January 1, 2014)

$50.00 per plat and the filing fee for the Official Public Records, $15.00 for the first page and $4.00 per additional page. EX: 1 sheet plat $65.00------2 sheet plat $69.00.

1.  Each plat for Official Public Records, Commissioner’s Court Minutes, Road & Bridge Department and Appraisal District must contain original signatures. (Landowner/Developer signature must be notarized)

2.  All Plats or Replats must have attached an original Tax Certificate from each taxing unit with jurisdiction.  Sec. 12.002.  SUBDIVISION PLAT;  PENALTY.           (1) Mylar, Blue Line or Black Line Plat for Road & Bridge Department

          (1) Mylar, Blue Line or Black Line Plat for Appraisal District 

 

Size for Plat Records, Road & Bridge Department and Appraisal District need to be no smaller than 18x24 and no larger than 24x36.

4.  The County Judge and all Commissioners that attend court that day MUST sign each Plat before it can be filed in the County Clerk’s Office.
