We’re Here to Help
The WCCWB is comprised of a group of volunteers who are concerned about the welfare of all children who suffer from abuse and neglect. These dedicated volunteers are appointed by the Waller County Commissioners’ court to coordinate state and local child welfare services, and to also promote the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families in their communities.
What We Do
- Supports prevention and treatment for both child abuse and neglect.
- Works diligently alongside Child Protective Services and CASA to assist children in care.
- Promotes the adoptions of children.
- Work tirelessly to provide a plethora of assistance, such as financial support for the children in custody in the Department of Child and Protective Services (CPS).
- Provide Family Base Services
- Assist Child Protective Services with investigations.

We Work To
- Normalize the lives of children in the foster care system.
* Sponsor events to promote awareness of child abuse prevention, recruit foster & adoptive homes.
- Maintain the “Rainbow Room” to meet immediate & emergency needs of children in CPS services.
- Host holiday celebrations and other special events for foster children.
- Cooperate with other organizations to education & coordinate community programs for the welfare of the children.
Our Achievements
- High school graduation celebration for those who graduated while still in in foster care custody.
- Provision of quarterly allotments of clothing and shoes purchased for children in foster care.
- Back to School Fun Day including School Supply Distribution.
- Christmas Party and gift giving for those in foster care from Waller County.
- Celebrations for the newly Adoptive Families.
