Effective September 1, 2023. Ms. Mia Magness is the acting County Attorney of Waller County until such time as Governor Greg Abbott names a replacement. This is following the resignation of Mr. Elton R. Mathis after nearly 17 years of service as D.A. of Waller County in order to serve as the first judge of Waller County Court at Law #2
