Office Closure
The Waller County Clerk's office will be closed the week of November 3-7, 2025 to allow our office to move into the newly constructed Courthouse.
Please know the County Clerk's Annex Office located in Brookshire will be open and available to assist customers from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closing for lunch from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The address is : 32225 US Hwy. 90 Business, Suite 105 Brookshire, Texas.
As much as we are excited to move in to our beautiful new place, we do apologize greatly for any inconvenience this may cause.
Effective September 1, 2025
To help reduce the risk of fraudulent filings, the County Clerk's Office will be requiring a photo ID for all Official Public Record filings over the counter.
Local Government Code Section 191.010 (b) (c)
(b) A county clerk in a county that allows for electronic filing of documents in the real property records of the county may require a person presenting a document in person for filing in the real property records to present a photo identification to the clerk. The clerk may copy the photo identification or record information from the photo identification. The clerk may not charge a person a fee to copy or record the information from a photo identification.
(c) Information copied or recorded from the photo identification is confidential.
