Walter Smith is the County Commissioner for Precinct 2, which
is the northeastern part of the county, encompassing Waller, Field Stone, and
Houston Oaks. Largely unincorporated, Commissioner Smith has been active in
providing effective and efficient services to the residents of Precinct 2,
working tirelessly to ensure that his constituents voices are heard, while
taking on the task of managing the explosive growth Waller County is
experiencing.
Commissioner Smith was first elected to the Commissioner’s
Court in 2018 and is running unopposed in the 2022 general election. Prior to
becoming a commissioner, Commissioner Smith was an engineer, working for
various firms and eventually starting his own business.
