Engineering  Department

The Waller County Road & Bridge Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive planning, design, mapping, and management services to facilitate quality construction of private development, public roads, and public infrastructure in an effort to enhance public safety and the quality of life in the County.

 

Development services provided by the Engineering Department include:

· Review Subdivision Plats and Plat Exemptions

· Review and Process Floodplain Development Permits

· Review Subdivision Plans, Commercial Site Plans, and Issue Required Permits

· Review and Process Infrastructure Development Plans (Rental Communities, Tiny Homes and RV Parks)

· Review and Process Engineering Reports, Traffic Impact Studies, and Drainage Impact Reports

· Review and Process Utility Notifications

· Inspect County Road Construction, Commercial Driveways, and Subdivision Developments

· Code Compliance


A 9-1-1 address must be issued PRIOR to issuance of any permit within the County. A properly issued and displayed 9-1-1 address will help to ensure that emergency services personnel can locate your home or business, if necessary. This office is located at 929 5th St. Hempstead.


Payment is due before an application will be processed.
